Rural Cheshire is today a most pleasant and much sought after place to live. There are more fine 18th and 19th century country houses in Cheshire than in any other English county, and it is said that more millionaires live in the county than in any other in the United Kingdom!
From our launch sites in Chester, Nantwich and Whitchurch a hot air balloon flight over Cheshire may take you over mountains, sheep and sleepy little Welsh villages. Flights in Cheshire are often close to the coast, allowing passengers to view the popular seaside resorts of Rhyll, Llandudno and Colwyn Bay.
Depending on where the day's flight is scheduled to launch from you may catch a glimpse of the Jodrell Bank radio telescope, the UK's biggest radio telescope which dominates the landscape around it. Or the balloon may gently glide over North Wales and the Snowdonia National Park.
Balloon Rides Derbyshire
Flights over Derbyshire take place from within the Peak District National Park starting from either Rowsley, near Chatsworth or Tissington Hall, near Ashbourne. Both locations provide exceptional launch sites to ensure a truly unique experience from the moment we hit the skies. Drifting over the dales and valleys, the farms, villages and miles of dry stone walls retain a centuries old charm in our modern age.
The launch site near Rowsley is just a short distance from Chatsworth House and close to the River Derwent. Situated about halfway between Matlock and Bakewell, Rowsley is ideally located for those of you who may wish to enjoy a day in the Peak District.
A few miles north of the historic market town of Ashbourne lies the village of Tissington. This privately owned hamlet is part of the Tissington Estate. The Hall, which was built by Francis FitzHerbert in 1609 is still occupied by the FitzHerbert family today.
Balloon Rides Over Gloucestershire
Your flight over Gloucestershire may take you over the Prinknash Abbey Bird and Deer Park, or historic Gloucester Cathedral, or allow you to spy on those enjoying a leisure cruise as they travel along the Gloucester Sharpness Canal. You may find yourself floating over beautiful towns and villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden or Broadway at the foot of the Cotswold Edge.

Our Herefordshire launch site is one of England's most beautiful castles. Home to the Hervey-Bathurst family and set against the Malvern Hillis, Eastnor Castle is surrounded by a beautiful deer park, arboretum and lake. As the balloon gently rises and begins to drift you will see the Malvern Hills, known as "The Backbone of Herefordshire and Worcestershire". Rising to over 1500 feet, and stretching almost 20 miles in length, the hills offer unparallel views and energetic climbs.
Balloon Rides in Staffordshire
Our relationship with Shugborough Hall goes back more than 25 years, and in that time more than 50,000 passengers have flown with us! Flights from Shugborough often carry the balloon north east towards Uttoxeter, Ashbourne and Derbyshire. Equally, the breeze may take us across Blithfield Reservoir or down towards Lichfield where we can see the famous three-spired Cathedral.
Further to the north, we have our second launch site at Trenham Gardens. This is a magnificent setting, and part of the hugely successful Trentham Estate, which incorporates a high quality range of retail outlets and restaurants in addition to the beautifully restored Italian Gardens. On the edge of the Estate you will find the wonderful Monkey Forest - a unique treat for the whole family - where we also occasionally launch the balloons (without monkey help!).
Balloon Rides Over Warwickshire
Flights from Stratford-upon-Avon launch from the race course on the south west edge of the town. You are often treated to a spectacular birds-eye view of Stratford itself, a favourite destination for tourists, with its many half-timbered buildings and Shakespearian history.
Famous for its castle, Warwick is again a popular venue for visitors to the region. Should the winds carry the balloon towards the castle, you may have the benefit of looking down upon the tourists who have climbed endless steps to reach the top of the battlements! As we float with ease and grace across the landscape, you can simply relax and take in the spectacular views.

A balloon flight over Worcestershire may take you over the delightful market towns of Chipping Campden or Pershore. You may also see the medieval town of Tewkesbury or the historic town of Upton upon Severn. England's loveliest cathedral, Worcester Cathedral, may come into view and you may see Worcester Racecourse, or the beautiful Spetchley Park Gardens.
