For an altogether different experience, the town of Watford offers a sprawling urban setting. It also presents a great view of one of Britain's most famous football grounds. One of the finest man-made white-water slalom locations in the world, anyone experiencing the fantastic London Olympics in 2012 will be familiar with the Lee Valley centre.
