In Kent we fly from venues at Tonbridge, Maidstone, Wadhurst or Ashford. Regardless of which location you fly from you will have unrivalled views of the stunning ‘Garden of England’ and rolling Kent landscape. When flying from Kent you can have usually see the notable Oast Houses in Tonbridge, dating back 450 years. Our launch site at The Hop Farm boasts the largest collection of Oast Houses in the world. They were traditionally used for drying hops for the local ale industry, but due to technological advancements they are no longer in use.
You may also be able to see Bewl Water Reservoir and Country Park. You will be able to wave at the many people walking, running, swimming and sailing around the water and you float over. When you fly in Kent you can also often see Lamberhurst Vineyard – a 20 acre venue growing five varieties of grape used in the production of white and rose wine.
Please be aware that we have to keep out of Gatwick Airspace and away from the Thames coast line. Therefore which site is used depends on the wind direction, wind speed and operational factors on the day of your flight.
