Beaconsfield Country Fayre succeeds despite rain

An event in Beaconsfield has entertained residents despite some inclement weather. The event included a wide range of activities, including a raffle. A hot air balloon ride was one of the prizes that participants could win. Simon Woolf, a committee member of the Beaconsfield Country Fayre (BCF) has told the Bucks Free Press:
"We have some really generous people and companies who have offered to help us and support us this year.”
Mr. Woolf has commented on how people remained positive about the attractions despite the downpour. He has also mentioned that the annual event was dogged by rain in 2014. Further, he has pointed out that attendance this year was good. The raffle has enabled two winners to go on a balloon flight. This prize was donated by a family firm. Other prizes in the raffle included a meal and a champagne at a local restaurant. A balloon race was held to help keep people entertained. This theme fitted with the balloon raffle prize. Other attractions on the day included classic cars, as well as some newer models; attendees enjoyed the chance for a close-up look at the latest Tesla electric vehicle. While assessing the money raised during 2015 may take some time, the 2014 event raised over £6,000 for charity. During the last few years, the BCF has got £100,000 for good causes. The organisers had set a target of £15,000 for this year. Their hopes were heightened by the luxury prizes that businesses had offered them, including the balloon trip.
