There’s no guarantee the weather will be sunny in Buckinghamshire in October, but that won’t stop you from having a sunny afternoon, if you head off to see the acclaimed West End musical, which is based on the music of huge 60s band The Kinks, and which will be at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on the 1st of October.
Iconic hits performed in the show, which was the winner of the 2015 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, include Lola, You Really Got Me, and of course Sunny Afternoon.
Hilingdon Literary Festival
If you’re more of a bookworm that a Rock ‘n’ Roll fan, you won’t want to miss out on the Hillingdon Literary Festival, which takes place on Friday 7th October until Sunday 9th October. The free festival will feature appearances from a number of famous faces, including comedian Shappi Khorandi, poet Benjamin Zephaniah, and ex-London Major Ken Livingstone, amongst others.
Not only that, but it will also feature street food, live music, poetry readings and a whole host of other cultural delights.
